Abrasive blasting
At Riley Industrial Services, we can blast any surface clean, including delicate parts, threads, grooves and crevices faster and more efficiently than chemicals or power tools. Riley can give you a surface cleanliness that is back to its original condition in just minutes. The blasting process is more precise today than in the past. We are no longer just limited to silica sand as a blasting material.
Many options to choose from
Today’s abrasives range from super fine aluminum oxide for delicate parts and turbine components to recycled steel slag for aggressive removal and maximum surface profile. We can provide vacuum floor blasters for high production removal rates or sodium bicarbonate blasting for non-destructive cleaning and soluble contaminate removal. Soft abrasives, for example Corncobs and walnut shells, will protect the most precise tolerance and prevent any damage to your delicate equipment.
Surface preparation
The coating industry, NACE and SSPC specify many grades of blasting. With our expertise and equipment, you can count on a blasting job that meets or exceeds all of these standards! We constantly test the anchor profile pattern to ensure proper adhesion of any coating to be applied. A properly cleaned and profiled surface is insurance that coating will adhere more thoroughly, cover more completely, last longer and protect better.
